Worland 2021 Women’s Basketball Review [VIDEO]

After a two-year absence, the Worland women’s basketball team returned to the state tournament and went 2-1 to take 3rd place in Class 3A. The Warriors started the tournament with a 47-28 victory over Torrington as Brooke Wright led the team with 14 points, Tymberlynn Crippen added 13 and Darla Hernandez 12.
Worland lost to Lyman in the 3A semi-final 45-41 as they had a difficult outing shooting basketball. Crippen had 16 to lead the Warriors and Denali Jones took 10 rebounds, but the team as a whole only scored 5 field goals in the first half.
The Warriors ended the season on a high note with a 45-36 victory over Lander to finish 17-6. Jones and Hernandez each had 14 points as Worland took the lead in the second half. It was a team that had serious athletic talent as Hernadez was named all-state for the 2nd year in a row. She averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game. Denali Jones was selected as a player of all conferences, averaging 10 points per game, and the same is true for Tymberlynn Crippen. These three players were seniors, so there will be a reconstruction for 2021-2022. We have a video to share of the Warriors at the State Tournament. Enjoy!
