Woodbury named one of America’s 50 Best Cities to Live
WOODBURY, MN – Woodbury has once again been named one of America’s Best Cities to Live.
Money Magazine ranked Woodbury as the 29th best city in America, touting its recent ‘construction spree’ and proximity to the Twin Cities as major selling points. The magazine also credited the city’s record for bringing new businesses and jobs to the region, writing that “employment opportunities are expected to increase by 10% by 2025.

The rankings also noted that Woodbury has over 3,000 acres of park space.
Woodbury was ranked ninth best city in America in 2020. The city was ranked No. 10 in 2018.
Woodbury had a median home price of around $ 351,000 and a median household income of nearly $ 114,000, according to the 2021 ranking.
Chanhassen, Minnesota, was ranked as the best city to live in part for its “small town feel with proximity to a big city.” Chanhassen has a median home price of around $ 401,000 and a median household income of over $ 125,000, according to the ranking.
Rosemount, Minnesota, was also in the top 50, placing 32nd.

Money Magazine analyzed cities with a population of 25,000 to 500,000 to focus on “lesser-known places” in the country.
The ranking eliminated cities where the risk of crime is more than 1.5 times the national average, the median income is below its state’s median and where the population is in decline, as well as cities “without ethnic diversity.” .
Money Magazine then ranked the remaining 1,300 cities out of nearly 100 metrics into nine categories: cost of living; Economic opportunity; the diversity; education; fun and amenities; health and security; housing market; personal income and finances; and quality of life.
