UW Faculty Recital Series November 7
A professor from the University of Wyoming Department of Music and a UW graduate will be the “Piano Duet” musicians featured in the faculty recital series on Sunday, November 7.
UW professor Theresa Bogard and former student Dean Zhang will give a free public concert at 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts. The performance will also be broadcast live.
The program features works by Johannes Brahms, György Kurtág, Leo Smit and Igor Stravinsky.
Bogard, Head of the Keyboard Section of the Department of Music, is an active performer combining varied interests in the practice of historical performance, contemporary music, chamber music and the music of female composers.
Zhang has been featured soloist with Canton Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, New World Symphony, Southwest Florida Symphony, and Tucson Symphony, and is a winner of numerous competitions.
Zhang is also performing nationwide with clarinetist Ben Chen as the Edgewater Duo, which will perform at UW at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 6.
