Tigirlily from North Dakota Makes Public Advocacy – Don’t Drive Drunk
The best thing on my mind, when you’re in the public eye, is to use this power of social media to help get the word out.
It’s a message that should be heard 365 days a year, and not just during the holidays. When you make that terrible mistake, a lack of judgment that could change your life or the lives of others in an instant, think hard about the consequences. Many might say, “Well, I’m only a mile down the road,” well, when you’re drinking and driving, it doesn’t matter if you’re crossing the street. There is a pair of sisters from North Dakota who have captured the hearts of many, and they hope to use their fame to bring some common sense to people.
The small town of Hazen, North Dakota, just over an hour from Bismarck, has become known for raising two rising superstars in the music world.
With a population of around 2,500, two of the former residents have teamed up pretty well, they have now hit concert halls across the country as Tigirlily. Entertaining so many people with their songs, these two ladies are extremely down to earth and as polite as they can get. They also care about people and do their part to raise awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving. According to KX NET both sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh had this to say “” When you drive impaired, you put yourself and others at risk. Too many accidents in North Dakota involve someone who is under the influence and these accidents are completely preventable … “
Do their part by recording Public Service Announcements for the North Dakota Department of Transportation
Speaking the word through PSAs and on social media, Tigirlily makes a clear statement we must never forget – “Drive sober or get shot.” Not only are these two talented, the compassion for others is real. Their final tip is as simple and straightforward as it gets – “Always drive sober or find driving sober,” KX NET added. Remember this, there is no shame in giving your keys to someone else, your life and the lives of others can depend on it.

Most of the cities included jump out to casual observers as popular summer rental spots – Branson of the Ozarks, Missouri, or Lake Havasu in Arizona – it might surprise you to dive deeper into some of the quality of life offerings in the area. beyond the beach and vacation homes. You’ll probably get some knowledge of a wide variety of Americana: one of the last 1950s-style drive-ins in the Midwest; a town in Florida that started out as a retreat for Civil War veterans; an island with some of the best public schools in the country and wealthy people in the middle of a lake between Seattle and Bellevue; and even a Californian town containing much more than the blues of Johnny Cash’s prison.
