The Queen welcomes Fergie to the family
After her scandalous separation and eventual divorce from Prince Andrew, Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson was quickly kicked out of the royal family.

In fact, the late Prince Philip is said to have avoided all contact with his former daughter-in-law, having been sensational photographed having his toes sucked by US financier John Bryan in 1992!
But almost thirty years later, and Philip having passed away, Fergie is back in the family fold.
Recently, she was invited by the Queen, 95, to join the Royal Family on vacation at Balmoral.
Sources now say more formal royal appearances could be considered.
Indeed, the Queen is believed to be considering giving Fergie, who was allowed to retain her title of Duchess of York following her divorce, some of the sponsorships once held by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“The Sussexes probably won’t like to hear this,” said a source.
Clearly thrilled to be back in Her Majesty’s good books, Fergie, 61, called the Queen “the greatest mentor” and “person who believes in me” in a new interview with Twiggy.
“I tell myself that, honestly, my mother-in-law was more of a mother to me than my mother,” she said.
Fergie’s mother, Susan Barrantes, left when Fergie was a girl to move to Argentina with her second husband, polo player Héctor Barrantes. She died in a car accident in 1998.
Fergie also praised the Queen’s “forgiving” nature, gushing: “I absolutely admire the incredible way Her Majesty is so modern… and her flexibility, understanding, tolerance and generosity.”
