The Katy families are awesome when it comes to celebrating the holidays. A family of British expats have once again turned their Cinco Ranch garage into a family fun haunted house after a huge public reception last season. Katy families can start enjoying it this weekend.

British family wants to give back to Katy
The Oxley family called Katy their home away from England for almost 6 years. Last year they turned their Cinco Ranch garage into a haunted house and the community was amazed.

“Last year was a huge success, we had a lot more people than we expected,” says Natasha Oxley. “So there was sometimes a queue in our driveway. Last year was very very DIY, with the black tarp pinned to the ceiling of the garage, so we had to go in there and fix it from time to time. But this year my husband Craig built some walls and then stapled sheets etc which will absolutely make it stronger.
The Oxley family is expanding this year and adding a circus theme to the front of the “house” and also adding a circus themed room inside.
The Spooky Fun opens today
The Oxley House opens its doors this Friday, October 14 and will then be open every Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. They will also be open on Monday Halloween night. The Oxley House tour is free for families.
“The whole layout is different this time and we have quite a few new animatronics,” says Natasha. “We added the circus theme to the front of the haunted house and also added a new circus room inside. The whole layout is different this time and we have quite a few new animatronics.
The Oxleys have three daughters aged 2, 4 and 5. They found the circus theme.
“They wanted to dress up and my two oldest kids both said scary clowns, so we went with that,” says Natasha. The Oxley family have been to the Halloween store almost every weekend since it opened in September.
It’s a family haunted house. The Oxleys say there’s nothing bloody about it.
“Some of the new larger animatronics we’ve added have added ‘step here’ footrests so those with very small children can choose whether or not they want to turn them on. That being said, all my girls love everything in there,” says Natasha.
