Yousafzai spent months in treatment after being shot in 2012, and went on to write a successful dissertation titled “I am Malala” and graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
She received the Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 17 for her work on girls’ education, sharing the prize with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian child rights activist.
His non-profit Malala fund has now invested $ 2 million in Afghanistan.
She also signed a deal with Apple TV + that will see her produce dramas and documentaries focused on women and children.
As recently as July of this year, the activist told British magazine Vogue that she was not sure whether she would ever get married.
“I still don’t understand why people have to get married. If you want to have someone in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership? She was quoted as saying in a long profile.
