Magazines must be completed by hand | Recreation
Detachable chargers became very popular in the 20th century when everything became semi-automatic.
You fill the magazines by hand. This is why sometimes clips are useful.
As you know, some handguns like the Beretta M9 and most modern firearms have removable magazines. They can be removed from the gun, bullets or no bullets. You can load them with ammo manually or by using a clip.
As the name suggests, these magazines work indoors and don’t go anywhere unless you take the gun apart. They all have the same function: they store ammunition and feed it into the chamber.
We will be talking about shotguns here as they are another good example of a gun with an internal magazine. They have tube-shaped magazines just below the barrel.
In a shotgun, for example, you feed each individual slug or shell with a spring-loaded follower in the chamber. That is, you feed the shotgun cartridges by hand.
You will see magazine boxes on more modern rifles like the AR-15 assault rifle, automatic firearms, or other semi-automatic rifles. There are two variations – internal and detachable.
Most bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles have an internal box magazine, while the more conventional AR-15, AK-47, or Ruger 10/22 have removable box magazines.
The latter is the most effective magazine, as we have pointed out, unlike the internal.
Tubular magazines feed the cartridges via tubes, springs and a special firearm.
Usually .22 rifles, shotguns like the Remington Model 870 shotgun, and most lever action rifles use this type of magazine. They are often under the gun.
Lever-action rifles are loaded via levers and they accumulate cartridges manually for each shot. Semi-autos, on the other hand, use the loading handle and can chamber cartridges almost automatically, hence the name.
Are Music Videos Better Than Magazines?
It depends on a lot of factors and weapons, and it’s not exactly about speed. That is, if you are not in a war zone; so maybe it is.
Personally, I think magazines are a bit more practical.
Of course, magazine-fed weapons can break or get damaged, and the weapon won’t work without it. They can also attract dust and grime and require more maintenance than wire strippers, which can be easily cleaned.
An internal clip-powered charger is simply more reliable than removable chargers.
However, the detachable chargers are easily replaced with another. If your internal magazine is damaged, you will have to replace or repair it, so that’s kind of a compromise.
For the ordinary hunter or your casual gun enthusiast, practicality won’t matter and it boils down to preference.
How many bullets in a clip are legal?
It depends on whether or not a state decides which magazines are high capacity magazines.
In California, any magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds in a clip is a high capacity magazine.
Colorado does not allow more than 15 laps. It is also illegal to sell high capacity magazines unless the person has owned the magazine since 2013.
There are a lot of complicated laws surrounding this and we suggest you read more about the laws in your state here.
Do the Glocks have music videos or magazines?
The Glocks use tear-off magazines. Then yes. The Glocks use magazines instead of music videos.
The Glock uses an extended 33 round magazine, but you can also find other capacities like 10 or 17 rounds.
Glock magazines have rigid metal tubes inside the high tech polymer housing, and it prevents warping and damage.
The Glock is not to be taken lightly.
As a reminder, today’s modern guns don’t use clips, but rifles like the M1 Garand and SKS have non-removable magazines that can be clip-fed.
An AR-15 charger is removable, but can also be powered by a clip.
How to remember the difference
Between a clip and a magazine
While we’re at it, let’s also remember why it should be easy to see the difference between a music video and a magazine now.
The easiest way to tell the difference is that magazines have springs, and clips don’t.
Think of a clip as a magazine loader, while the magazine feeds ammo directly into the chamber. It makes sense, right?
You can take a good analogy like literal magazines as an example and think of newspaper clippings as music videos. If you cut in the newspapers you get clippings or clips. Keep in mind that gluing a lot of clips together can make a magazine.
Hope this little mnemonic trick helps you.
Knowing the difference between magazines and music videos gives you credibility and expertise because many gun enthusiasts know this is a very slippery slope. You can easily earn the respect of your peers.
