Key Industry Organization Announces New Chair

A leading energy industry body has appointed a new chairman of its board.
EnergyAustralia Chief Executive Officer Mark Collette will serve as Chairman of the Australian Energy Council (AEC).
He will be supported by Frank Calabria of Origin Energy, who continues to serve as the leading organization’s vice president for energy retailers and producers.
Board Chief Executive Sarah McNamara said: “We are delighted to have two of Australia’s most respected energy leaders to lead the Board at a time of intense and continuous change.
“Mark and Frank bring a wealth of experience to the Board of Directors which will be invaluable as we continue to work with our members to lead the transition of the Australian energy market.
“I would also like to thank Greg Everett, CEO of Delta Electricity, who is stepping down as Interim President but will remain on the AEC Board of Directors.”
EnergyAustralia CEO and future President Mark Collette said: “I thank AEC for this opportunity and look forward to working with AEC members to represent our industry as we drive the energy transition. for our customers and our communities. “
The ACS has also appointed two new directors – EDL CEO James Harman and Simply Energy CEO Shannon Hyde.
They join the members of the Board including:
- Graeme Hunt, Managing Director and CEO of AGL
- Jeff Dimery, Managing Director and CEO of Alinta
- Andrew Bills, CEO of CS Energy
- Ross Rolfe, Managing Director and CEO of Iberdrola Australia
- Iain Graham, CEO of Red Energy
