Become festive! Thanksgiving celebrations resumed their full swing in 2021 after many stars chose not to spend the 2020 vacation with extended family and friends amid the COVID-19 crisis.
After a year without spectators, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade kicked off the festivities for many, including Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, who worked the event on Thursday, November 25.

The Today with Hoda and Jenna co-host also shared memories of the parade in NYC, captioning his photos, “@macys, we loved every second! NYC is BACK !!! Happy Thanksgiving â¤ï¸.”
Guthrie continued his coverage of the show with a toast to his longtime friend and colleague Jenna Bush Hager, who turned 40 on Thursday.
“Always grateful but doubly grateful today for this sparkler of a human”, she captioned a snapshot with the birthday girl via Instagram. “Happy 40th birthday @jennabhager ð¥°.”
Witney carson, for his part, could no longer see his 10-month-old son, Leo, attend his first Thanksgiving.
“Pure joy. Pure happiness,” the 28-year-old professional dancer, who shares Leo with her husband Carson McAllister, captioned a series of photos of her baby dressed in party pajamas sitting on her decorated table. âThankful doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel!
