Hendrikse and Moerat will have a chance for Bok

Jaden Hendrikse and Salmaan Moerat are set to be included in the Springbok squad for the next round of Tests against Wales in July.
According to the Sunday newspaper ReportSharks scrumhalf Hendrikse and Stormers lock Moerat should be called up to mitigate long-term injuries to Cobus Reinach and RG Snyman.
Reinach underwent surgery to repair a shoulder injury, while Snyman is still recovering from a knee injury that kept him sidelined all season.
There are also question marks over Herschel Jantjies as the Stormers scrum-half missed the Capetonians’ final round, the Vodacom United Rugby Championship trip to Llanelli with a hand injury. It is understood he will seek a second opinion on his injury and consider surgery, which will rule him out for up to six weeks.
Jantjies is still expected to be named in Bok’s squad but his injury could mean a promotion for Hendrikse, whoSharks teammate Grant Williams is also on the national radar, but national selectors would consider the former higher in the pecking order.
Hendrikse made his Test debut against Argentina in the Rugby League last year but suffered a long-term leg injury on his second appearance on the bench.
Moerat, meanwhile, was part of the 32-man squad for November’s UK Tests but is yet to make his first appearance in the green and gold.
