Dominic Calvert-Lewin ribbed for a schoolgirl look as the England and Everton star poses for the daring cover of Homme + magazine

CLOTHING-MAD Dominic Calvert-Lewin strolled from the back pages of newspapers to the cover of a successful fashion magazine to show off his latest bold look.
The England and Everton hitman, 24, loves scoring goals on the pitch – and wearing stylish shoes.

And no look is too bold for the confident leader – even if that means a bit of social media edginess.
In shots for Homme Plus, Calvert-Lewin poses in a Prada outfit consisting of a white polka-dot shirt, blazer, black tie and flared shorts – which some less stylish observers have called a “skirt. “.
The look was designed by stylist Harry Lambert.
And it’s no surprise that Twitter has gone mad about it.
While some followers clearly won’t be rushing to copy the look, others have at least been impressed with DCL’s efforts to achieve it.
One of them wrote: “Although this is not an outfit I would wear, fair play that he does what he wants to do. Whoever made the rules that men can’t wear of skirt ?! Or pink etc etc. ”
Another supported the cheeky ace for the photoshoot but teased, “It’s good for him to do his thing and be proud, but he looks like a schoolgirl here.”
Another joked “I wonder if Roy Keane would ever dress like this”, while another simply wrote: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is the modern footballer.”
Calvert-Lewin has previously talked about how much he enjoys escaping the hustle and bustle of a footballer’s life by wearing unconventional outfits.
He told style magazine The Face: “As a footballer you’re so into a routine and you do the same things every day.
“It’s that little freedom. If you want to wear a costume for no reason, why not?

And he certainly made The Sun’s Bizarre editor-in-chief Simon Boyle – who is also an Everton supporter – an even bigger fan of him now after his last show.
Our showbiz supremo wrote: “Watch out for Harry Styles – you have some serious competition in the daring fashionista stakes.
Dominic seemed to echo Harry’s Gucci dresses – and David Beckham’s sarong – wearing one of the most daring sets I’ve seen posing for the cover of Arena Homme + magazine.
“Dressed head-to-toe in Prada, he channeled a preppy schoolgirl in a culotte, blazer, shiny shoes, white socks, tie and shimmering pink purse.
“Although I doubt he wears it in training, I admit he wins. Dominic is a forward-thinking player – I hope he inspires more stars to push the limits in the beautiful. Game.
“And as an Everton fan, I don’t care what he wears as long as it gets us back to victory.”
Passion for fashion is nothing new for the Three Lions star, with Calvert-Lewin previously revealing what he spent his first Sheffield United salary on at 16.
He explained, “I gave my mother some of the money and went to spend the rest on this coat.
“I left myself with probably £ 20 for the rest of the month.”
On some of the comments he’s received on what he likes to wear, DCL added, “Now the roles have turned and they say, ‘Actually, it looks good, only you can do it.
“It’s like a compliment backwards.”
Calvert-Lewin attended New York Fashion Week alongside teammate Tom Davies in 2019.
And he’s not the first footballer to be photographed for Homme Plus.
Spurs star Son Heung-min posed in Prada while holding a rooster for a previous issue.
While former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua also featured on their cover as, perhaps unsurprisingly, a topless David Beckham.
